Capturing Emotion

While it is easy to photograph posed shots, it takes a good photographer to capture both posed and action shots. Some photographers neglect to understand this in photography. They can take really good portraits or posed shots but ignore the skills needed to get those action shots.
I love to capture these kind of moments. When I say action shots I don't mean those pictures where you have the person(s) jump in the picture. Even though those shots may be considered action, I'm talking about capturing those moments that are not posed. The split second when the subject is at their core of himself or herself. I photograph people when they are 100% who they are, whether they know it or not -- at least I hope I do. I try to capture them during that one single moment when they aren't thinking, or doing, but just being -- as they are meant to be.
